How the rankings work
For the largest Dutch cities, scooped.eu publishes a ranking of the best-rated ice cream parlors. The lists are generated automatically from the current scores.
App users rate an ice cream parlor on five points: quality, assortment, atmosphere, service and value for money. The Scooped score is the average of those across all reviews, on a scale of 0.5 to 5. A parlor receives a Scooped score once it has 5 reviews. Parlors with a Scooped score always rank first.
If a parlor has fewer than 5 reviews, we show the Google score as an indication. It is always labeled separately and never blended with Scooped scores. A parlor only enters the list with a Google score of at least 4.5 and at least 25 ratings. In the order, parlors with many ratings weigh more than parlors with only a few.
Scooped does not sell places in the rankings. Ice cream parlors cannot pay for a higher position.
